Waiting on God’s Perfect Timing

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11

Sarah had been praying for a new job for months. Each day, she sent out resumes and went to interviews, but nothing seemed to work out. It felt like her prayers were falling on deaf ears. One afternoon, feeling discouraged, she visited her church pastor who reminded her that God’s timing is perfect. Sarah realized that although she couldn’t see it yet, God was preparing something better for her. A few weeks later, she was offered a job that was even more fulfilling and paid better than she imagined.
